This week, The Weekly Beet reports from within on the power of the divine. Mary Kent praises grace, revealing why we could all use a bit more to activate the beauty in our lives!
It's a blessing, a title, a state, a healing, and even a goddess! Grace is a mystical substance obtained from the divine that has the power to change your life as quick as you are able to acknowledge its existence. It's an invisible, subtle force, so for those of you on a 'need to know' basis, meeting grace will definitely help suspend your questioning mind. This week, it's an honor to share one of my favorite topics and an absolute joy to include one of my favorite teachers who speaks so eloquently on the subject of grace! Dr. Caroline Myss, a mystic in her own right, is an empowered woman who has spent her life devoted to lecturing on why people don't heal. She is a no-nonsense woman whose vocabulary at explaining the divine is to such perfection that every time I listen the essence of my soul is always touched! A genius at explaining how to become a channel for grace, Myss has certainly shown me how easy it is to tune in and to create a space within myself that allows for goodness, positivity, and healing to pour forth!
So, what exactly is grace? To define it, Myss calls grace the breath of God, or the energy essence known as God. She states so gracefully, "Grace is the invisible essence of the divine moving amongst us, engaging invisibly in our lives so swiftly, so rapidly like molecules, like quantum sparks moving within our thoughts and our cell tissues. Sparks in front of our eyes, moving within our emotions, heightening the essence of love and lowering the heat of a negative passion." She explains that, we, as a society have become so overloaded with psychic free radicals (I LOVE this terminology) possessing the human mind in the form of negative thought forms that we are in ALL in dire need of becoming channels for grace. It's as simple as that. Now, that's what I call unBEETable!
Myss, who definitely has had a graceful transformation, most recently put out a 2-CD journey within called Channeling
Grace! I can't recommend it enough, as it will help you reconnect to the power that is available within yourself that creates joy, happiness, bliss, and peace. I can attest, you will be illuminated afterwards! Myss explains that a grace moment is one that is filled with essence of awe. So, here are a few steps from her CD to accessing the ever-present, AWESOME gift of grace in your life:
- Acknowledge that grace is already present in your life. It's always been there and always will!
- Recognize there is a sacred part of yourself that needs daily attention through prayer, self-reflection, contemplation, and meditation. These are the spiritual elements necessary to strengthen you from within. Don't know how to pray? Click here.
- Myss says the question we should be asking ourselves is, "How do I live my life surrounded by grace"?
- The key to obtaining grace is to always look to your darkness. Identifying your shadow will take you further into a state of grace! Oh wait, you believe you don't have a shadow? Think again!
- Myss states you are the builder of your field of grace. "You create grace. You pause and take a deep breath and say 'let nothing disturb the silence of this moment. I am building my field of grace. All that is in this grace is serving my calm in my life. I am guided at all times and everything is as it should be. You take a deep breath and you keep going'."
- Accessing grace requires great humility and respect for the divine and the self. Leave your ego, your expectations, and your demands behind.
- Look to someone else to make grace real for you! See friends, family members, and even enemies in terms of grace. Notice them as sparks of the divine, permeating a field of energetic grace! It's not easy, but it's true! :)
- Repeat to yourself, "I am a channel for grace and am ready to live as one! I want to know grace!"
- Myss tells us that people fear coming close to God. Identify what's in you (most likely hidden within your mind) that is keeping you from accessing your divine interior.
My favorite aspect of Myss' personality is her bluntness when she tells us accessing the power of grace doesn't come through OMing, lighting candles, or wearing beads around your neck. Her words cut like a knife and will surely open your heart to the divine in a way that most of us are in need of at this time! Just know that grace is a force that is available to you at all times. It truly is incredible what can happen when we still ourselves long enough and ask to become a vessel for grace. You WILL change with this divine request and your entire realm around you will as well. Because, remember, you always get what you ask for!
It's amazing, praising grace! Channel the power! Don't miss a Beet. Stay tuned for next week.
