Tea Tree Oil For Me!
This week, The Weekly Beet reports on one of our all time favorite healing oils. Known as The Wonder From Down Under, Tea Tree Oil is a MUST add to any savvy shopper's medicine cabinet!!
Tea Tree Oil, made from a tree called the Melaleuca tree, grows exclusively in Australia, where the Aborigines have long used the Tea Tree for its healing abilities. In the 1920's, Arthur Penfold, a native Australian scientist, proved that Tea Tree Oil indeed has natural antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal capabilities. We are crazy about a company called Desert Essence, which has an array of Tea Tree products. From lip balms to oils to shampoos to toothpastes, Desert Essence offers a wide selection in natural personal care!
We love Tea Tree Oil because of the many things it helps with:
- Insect Bites
- Minor Cuts and Scrapes
- Nail Fungus
- Athlete's Foot
- Minor Rashes & Skin Irritations
So, we say the next time your skin starts to act up, rub a dab of Tea Tree Oil on and watch what happens. It's pretty unBEETable! Also, we prefer using Tea Tree Oil as an anti-bacterial soap as opposed to Purell. Tea Tree Oil is much more natural with alot less chemicals.
Don't miss a Beet. Stay tuned for next week.
