This week, The Heart Beet reports on something straight from the heart. Mary Kent shares a key message of something bigger than just a Heart Bead.
Recently, I had a very wonderful experience with a customer who called me one afternoon, well, just out of the blue. Immediately, as I heard this woman's fragile voice from across the line, I intuitively knew this was a call sent from up above and it was my soul duty just to sit, down, and to listen. As she explained who she was and where she was calling from, she began to cry, trying to get across that she had found my website and that the key necklaces kept speaking to her. As I listened very intently to this cry for help across the line, I immediately looked at a picture of Christ in my house and asked, "What do I do?". But, it seems that day, there was really nothing for me to do or to say, as God had already appointed my divine instructions months before and, luckily, I had followed through.
Many times with my creations, I don't exactly know the message the art or jewelry will transmit to the viewer and, in this case, soon to be owner, but I sure am willing to allow myself to be a key to open the door for something bigger than myself to speak across the lines of communication. Today, the key would speak for forgiveness between a mother and a daughter. This lovely woman had twice seen my key necklaces and, as she explained this, she began to tell me that it was the Lord sending her to me. On the second viewing, she felt in her heart that this key was speaking to her in a spiritual way. Symbolically. Silently. Not a key to open a door, but a key that would hopefully ignite an act of forgiveness within her daughter. She explained to me she recently had a horrible experience within her family: she had left her husband and her daughter wasn't speaking to her. As she sobbed, she then spoke of the Lord, of His power, and how the day before she had received a deliverance from Him. This woman was praying that her family would heal at the seams. And, she wanted a gift to give to her daughter for her birthday to symbolize what they had been through together. She knew of a person who made charms and keys, but something had told her to call me. She asked me if I took layaway, as she thought my keys were $500. But, when I told her they were $58 to $82, she screamed, saying she could afford it! When God wants something to happen, all doors open wide. The card she would write to her daughter would read, "The Key to Forgiveness is the Key to Freedom." She prayed that her daughter would see, learn, and feel that by forgiving her mother for her many mistakes, she would finally be set free. This mother wanted her daughter to wear forgiveness everyday, as a reminder that she was set free. As, the woman on the other line spoke this to me, I became silent, in utter shock, and listened to my own heart, realizing there were a few things in my life that I needed to forgive. And, I realized this was the most beautiful gift a mother could ever give to a daughter: a nudge towards freedom. I was a tearful wreck by the end of the conversation.
This moment touched me so very deep to the core, that I felt, yes, something greater than both of us was speaking through this key necklace. We had met on common ground, where I could now receive a message that my key necklaces stood for something so much greater than just a piece of metal. They stood for messages of love and healing. That day, I think a part of me was seeking the same healing, perhaps a healing in affirmation that, yes, what I am doing is giving hope in places of darkness. And, that forgiveness is truly the key to freedom. Maybe this woman was sent from up above to show me that it was time for me to forgive a few folks, whose actions I had held on to for far too long. In my heart, I feel her angels and my angels got together to send a healing to us both. I was just there that afternoon to receive the call.
Without getting too cliché, I do very much believe that life is vite. God continually offers us moments to forgive and to love and to act our moments with kindness. He gives us free will, choices, and options. We are given, moment upon moment, chance upon chance, to heal, to say we are sorry, to move closer to love, and to cast out that within ourselves that creates such separation. The Divine patience with our Earthly resistance always makes me laugh out loud. To know we are so deeply loved. To know there is something out there that is bigger than us, constantly communicating with us, constantly nudging us into acts of love, forgiveness, and healing, and constantly calling us, in my case that afternoon. Well, that just sorta makes me feel better. What are the keys you need to symbolically wear in your life? Are they The Keys to Love, The Keys to Forgiveness, The Keys to Freedom, or maybe The Keys to Joy? May these key necklaces symbolize the keys you are seeking to unlock within yourself the love that God, the universe, the Lord, the saints, and the angels have for you! This is key for me to remember everyday. And, I hope for you, too.
It's time to forgive yourself, your neighbor, and even your family. This truly is the key to freedom. Don't miss a Beet. Stay tuned for next week!
